This beautiful Maize king size wool blanket is even better than I expected! The blanket is beautifully made and finished and is warmer than the 2 wool blankets it is replacing. It is both light weight and warm and a rich beautiful color. I am very happy with it and recommend it most highly.

I am a hot sleeper. Over the years Ive surfed through the trends of down mattress toppers and down/feather duvets and down blankets, trying so hard to stay warm in autumn and winter without waking in a pool of sweat. About ten years ago I discovered a wool fleece mattress pad which I began to use year-round, and that helped to keep me from uncomfortable on the mattress, but I just couldnt get the right combination of cotton and down blankets to be comfortable. A few months ago I tried buying yet another down blanket, hoping this would be perfect; however, I still kept overheating in the middle of the night. As I have developed a sensitivity to coarse wool next to my skin in recent years I never considered a wool blanket. While searching through the exotic silk and alpaca options and marveling at the price tags, I came across this blanket, loved that it was made in France rather than China and that the King Size blanket was ACTUALLY king-sized and wouldnt feel short-changed once I tucked it in at the bottom. Well, I woke the first morning and the first noticed was an absence -- I wasnt too hot or too cold having thrown covers off in the middle of the night. I actually lay there under that blanket an extra two hours, marveling that my temperature was PERFECT. You mileage may vary, but this blanket in combination with a cotton thermal blanket underneath is life-changing! Its been five nights now, and I still cant believe that it does such a good job of keeping me warm (its not exactly cozy when I first climb into bed), but waking in the middle of the night for the bathroom or a glass of water I feel just enough residual heat left in the bed to get me back to sleep quickly, and when I wake in the morning I actually feel FRESH with the perfect body temperature, and not once chilled or sweaty. I set the thermostat around 65 degrees at night, and this beautifully made and sized blanket works perfectly with a thermal blanket. I hope to use it by itself right until the edge of summer when even a sheet is sometimes too much.

This blanket arrived in pristine condition. It was well packaged. Everything in the package appeared to have been packed with care, clear down to the paperwork being stapled neatly. I might add that this price was $30.00 less than Amzn. Bravo houzz!
