Id been searching for just the right bedspread for a while; cotton, quilt, $100 give or take. When I realized I ne of those expectations had to be let go, I quickly found this microfiber quilt. Pros: •Stunning embroidery work •Super soft •Light but cozy •Extra pillow •Worth every penny •Plenty of blanket to curl up with (a plus for me) Cons: •Pillow shams are much bigger than a standard king pillow. Only a con because Im at a loss to find something that wont cost $$ •Smelled of cigarettes when I opened the box, got stronger after opening the blanket to wash. The first wash hasnt eliminated the smell entirely, next wash will be with 1/2 cup baking powder. (Bad smell could be a fluke) •Hangs on the floor in corners (not really a con for me, I knew this was a feature, someone may find it a con tho) Things to note: •Color: I got the ash grey, its a *warm* grey. If youre wondering why this matters then it probably wont to you. For someone setting up a color pallet, its hugely important. Im adding photos. You will see my curtains, wall an dresser are cool tone, the spread is warm tone. •Embroidery on here isnt just a straight stitch, its a pretty and sturdy decorative stitch, made with actual shiny embroidery thread. •Some threads will hang loose, simply trim them close, dont pull. Its a thing that happens with embroidery. Nothing wrong with it. The white throw pillows are from ebay, the white bed pillows in the back are mine. They dont come with the spread.

This light weight quilt is perfect for us. Comforters are too fussy for me to remove every evening and to heavy for my husband to use as cover. The quality is good, it is made very long so you can tuck under pillows and the width is for platform beds but I use it on a standard sryle for easy cleaning; in this case you may want a dustruffle.

I just put mine on and its just what I was looking for. I have a fairly high king bed, so the sides could stand to be a little longer, but its okay. I paired it with my medallion duvet cover and shams to get the look I wanted.

I received this set several days ago for my king size bed and absolutely love it. It is light enough not to be cumbersome on top of me when sleeping under it and fits the bed perfectly---does not slide off the bed during the night like quilts tend to do. I love the detailed embroidery quilting. My husband doesnt like making the bed generally and finds it more difficult to do so with a bedspread as opposed to a puffy quilt, so I discovered that he is more willing to make the bed by pulling up the spread at the top and placing our pillows on top of the spread, and then folding the top like an envelope over the pillows, which leaves a nice scalloped edge showing at the top and you dont have to push the extra fabric at the top UNDER the bed pillows. It displays the top as well and everything fits nicely that way. We also have an indoor cat, but we keep her claws clipped periodically so she cant scratch things. I believe this will protect the embroidery stitching. This spread is GORGEOUS!

The color is accurate on the website; a perfect teal which is what I wanted. The quilting is a bronze/copper color and is quite lovely. It fits our king size bed perfectly.
