Quilt looks exactly like the photos online. Very pretty design with various strips of cloth making up the spines of the "books". It looks made by hand. Unfortunately the paisley print on the back was disappointing. Colors are way brighter and pattern bolder than I expected. A little too wild for my taste and doesnt tie in that well with the subdued image on the front. There was a definite smell when I first took it out of the plastic so I let it air out on the couch for a few days and its better now. Not sure if that smell is the plastic or the dye used but its definitely there.

This is very pretty and we’re keeping it for our library/tv room. The room’s walls are bookcases on all three sides, so the idea of a book throw was interesting. I have to say that unless you KNOW you’re looking at books and bookcases, the pattern just looks like pretty stripes of different fabrics, not so much like bookcases filled with books. A little disappointing, but no so disappointing that we want to send it back. I washed it and it softened up and feels cozy. Our little dogs LOVE it.
