What makes this bed so special is there is no rim on the platform which makes the bed smaller and fits better in a smaller room. Additionally, when making the bed in the morning I dont I bump my legs because the mattress is flush with the platform. The mattress definitely needs a non skip pad like the ones under a rug which works like a charm. I totally love the bed for its practical design, very few beds are like this.
