We like the additional cushioning under foot when walking across the rug, This in addition to the non skid aspect of having the pad under the carpet. On a tile floor like ours the pad also precludes any impression on a flat rug from the shape of the tiles below. All in all the pad makes for a very luxurious experience.

Nice and comfortable pad. Exact measurement for rug. Gave it 4 stars because it had some stains, it was someone elses return, it still had their info on the packet.
