This recipe box is not the greatest quality. It has a slightly chemically smell, which is a bit off-putting, but it may just be from the packaging it was in. Part of the back panel on the lower portion of the box was coming apart from the rest of the piece, leaving a small gap. This isnt super visible and doesnt bother me enough to return it, but if you want something that looks like high quality wood I would recommend going with something else. That being said, I do like how tall the inside is — I can fit oddly shaped cards which is nice. It does include the dividers you see in the photos, as well as the plastic recipe holder that sits in the groove on top.

I bought this box as a gift for my adult daughter. I had it shipped to me so that I could check it out first: Was it well made? Was it sturdy? Was it attractive? I am happy to say "Yes" to all of those criteria! This is a lovely box made of silky-smooth bamboo. The double-hinged lid opens all the way and rests flat against the back. The box is tall enough to hold both recipe cards AND index tab cards (not all recipe boxes can accommodate index tabs, unfortunately). Inside the box is a removable hard plastic sleeve to hold a recipe card in use; the sleeve fits into a groove on top of the box. The groove is just visible in the photo. I sent photos of the box, inside and out, to my daughter, and she was very pleased with it. I will be mailing this box to her tomorrow.
