Lots to assemble, they appear fairly sturdy. Rough finish on wood obscures the many defects. Biggest problem is that the tape they use to protect the finish on the footrests ripped up the poorly painted finished bare metal in many places.

I read all the reviews before buying. These are exactly how they look in the pics. Not a true gray color at all. Beige is a better colors, with hints of gray. Cushions are light tan / off white. Easy construction; does take a while because you are assembling every piece. Each piece is carefully wrapped in padding and plastic; removing that took me the longest. Highly recommend for the price. Very sturdy. We may stain the wood at a later date. Wood is not smooth; it is grooved and slightly rough, distressed, like driftwood. Great buy! Great addition to our home and decor.

The stool is gorgeous, well-made, and a great quality. When I saw it at that price, I decided to risk it and order them. So glad I did. Beautiful and the padding on the seat and back are very thick and comfortable. The service I received from Houzz was excellent, and the stools arrived within less than a week, in perfect condition I might add. Highly recommend them.

Very happy with the Chairs, pretty easy to assemble, suggest you loosen the black screws that fasten the seat cushion to the seat frame and remove plastic from seat before attaching the seat to the legs. Otherwise it is very difficult to get off. Also suggest you load all the screws with the washers as per instructions before beginning.

I am giving 4 stars, only due to the fact that I have just assembled them. The seat cushion and seat back are somewhat difficult to attach to the swivel base for one person. Also, it feels that the hardware could use some additional tightening as they seem to be a bit unstable at the moment. As for price, color, and overall quality, these are FANTASTIC!
