one less star cuz it has surfacing with artificial grooves that can trap dirt but also cause splinters! im going to polyurethane coat the top to fill in the grooves and smooth the roughness ----otherwise it is easy to assemble and very sturdy.

This bench surpassed my expectations. The wood is durable and solid, and the bench is gorgeous! It fits well in my room and matches other accents and furniture. Incredibly easy to put together
