Not to expectations from viewing picture. It looked rustic with peeling paint in the picture(which is what we wanted), but in reality it looks The chair is very mass production. The paint "chipping" is patterned and purposeful, not natural or rustic at all. The base metal is galvanized metal steel, the picture made it appear to be more weathered metal. The chair is sturdy, well made, the seat is comfortable, the back is a little too upright. Would be more comfortable if you could lean back just a little.
