Hood looks good , works good but not a revelation as I thought. Worth the money though.

I was very pleased and my contractor was too. Easy installation and setup. My only complaint is that once the time was set i couldnt get it reset the next time because either Operator error or the button stopped working. All the other parts work fine. If thats the only problem I have with it, I will still be extremely happy with this product!

The hood seems to function well as a method to clear cooking smells and smoke. Some of the details of the hood are less than one might hope for however. The time seems to only display in military time. Also the time display is quite bright, wish you could dim it some. And the biggest annoyance is how loud the buttons are. The beeping sound to turn the hood on and off is very loud. It would be nice to be able to lower or mute this. Sometimes I dont turn it on when I otherwise would, because the beep is disruptive.

Hood arrived very well packaged. The instructions are good, not overly detailed, but provide all the required info. Styling and quality fit/finish is very good. Looks exactly like the picture. Install was very easy, just two screws (as long as you have a 6" duct system installed - I did this and it was the tough part, but has nothing to do with this specific hood). The hood does not weigh a ton, probably 15 lbs. The cord comes out the top, in -line with the chimney and is a standard 3-prong, so you need an outlet or junction box up in the ceiling to plug it in or to wire it. Operation is great, 3 speed fan that moves a lot of air, lights are very nice (more for ambiance than bright cooking lights). The buttons beep pretty loudly when pressed. Unbelievable for this price!
