This Set includes 3 stage 1 filters. I don"t need or use the stage 1 filter. If I were on a private well or water supply I would need the stage 1 filter. However, Im on a municipal system. I have no problems with sand, dirt, mud or any other type of sediment, thus I have no need for the stage 1 sediment pre-filter cartridge. Also I have no problem with other particulates, bad taste or odor other than chlorine. The stage 1 filter does not remove chlorine. I do have a big problem with chlorine and need additional filters that will help remove this problem. It would be great, when ordering this filter pack, that you would give me the option to replace the unneeded stage 1 filters with additional stage 2 filters. If needed, I would be willing to pay additional for such a filter pack. Otherwise, these filters are great. Easy to change and appear to be doing a good job. I rate the individual filters 5 stars. I rate the filter pack 3 stars because of the above problem. Im tired of buying this pack and discarding the 3 stage 1 filters and purchasing 3 replacement filters.
