We got one of these for our house, since our water is quite hard. The saline system was not working for us, and my hair was a frizzy mess! Within 24 hrs (2 showers later) I noticed I could finally work some suds up with soap and my hair was amazingly soft. Best of all, my dishwasher now works efficiently! Wed taken to adding a cup of vinegar PER LOAD just to keep the scales from settling on the dishes. Our laundry is cleaner! Coffee tastes better and we are able to drink our water (although Im still not wild about the taste, Im getting used to it). So this product is already saving us money on household products (vinegar, extra soap, special shampoos and conditioners) and I know it will help the entire house and our appliances. I wish Id known about this product ages ago!

The iSpring ED2000 Whole House Electronic Descaler Water Conditioner is an innovative, computerized water conditioning system that solves hard water problems without the need for chemicals, salt, or filter cartridges. This makes it a healthy and economic alternative to a traditional Water Softener, and great for those on salt-restricted diets. It will prevent lime scale deposits in water pipes, helping to protect and prolong the life of water heaters, dishwashers and washing machines. It functions by wrapping two antenna cables around the main water pipe to form a coil, creating a complex, frequency modulated, electronic magnetic waveform. This induces an oscillating electric field into the water, resulting in the agitation of water molecules sufficient to trigger the release of carbon dioxide (CO2) which causes the premature precipitation of calcium bicarbonate. This process naturally results in a tiny increase in solubility, which allows the now unsaturated water to dissolve existing scale deposits and remove them from the water system.
