Ive never had a dish towel be absorbent right out of the wrapper! But these are! I love them; except they are huge. Im used to smaller towels. But in time Ill get used to them. They also come with a little "hanger" piece built into one corner. I hadnt noticed this in the description. But its handy if youre going to hang it on a hook. Mine just drapes over the oven handle.
