The style of the light is transitional (not totally contemporary). The gold color looks darker on the website. If you are looking for a light closer to antique gold, this light will not work. The reason for an average rating is because I did not hang it so I am not able to tell you how it looks hung and how much light it gives off.

The bronze light is more pewter. Definitely not as dark and as bronze as pictured.

I have bought several different types of bulbs and cannot get attractive lighting in my kitchen. Put two of these fixtures in. Quality is not reflected in the high price. So disappointed!
