Now that I finally have the light installed I am happy with the way it looks, the materials quality is great for the price. I gave 3 stars because the setup was so awkward and the instructions were extremely limited and confusing. The way you have to attach the base (where the bulbs sit) to the ceiling essentially destroys the foil insulation that it comes with.

Directions were lacking, as they did not explain how to secure glass to shade while mounting. Consequently, glass insert shattered. The shade and glass insert, however, are of high quality. Its the instructions that are terrible.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. This is a great looking fixture. Problem is that the glass is very thin and fragile. When trying to attach it, it cracked with hardly any pressure. Still waiting to hear if the manufacturer can ship a replacement. If not, I will most likely purchase something different in its place.

I bought these for my downstairs and upstairs hallways. The linen shades make them warm as does the diffuser. I am very pleased with the quality for such a reasonable price.
