These are beautiful lamps and look great once installed. The glass is quite heavy about 6lbs.. and the install can be a bit tricky. there is a narrow steel plate that screws into your ceiling box (plastic in our case). The plate pushes quite a bit on the cable coming up through the decorative trim. The screws to attach the trim are finished with decorative nuts. These nuts have a very short travel, so you need to cut the screws down pretty exactly so that the trim will fit. I would also cut the cable about 10 in. longer than you need and store it in the box so you can adjust the height of the lamps later.

The lights are quite pretty (especially when used with a dimmable, color-changing LED bulb - switching between warm and cool light colors really changes how overtly blue the shade appears in a nice way). The air pockets in the glass add a really nice visual texture, but the lights themselves arent large enough to dominate the room as some pendants can - they are just the right blend between noticeable and blending into the background. The way the hand-blown glass mounts to the metal fixture can be a bit tricky thanks to the variations in the glass surface - you can attach it in a crooked fashion without intending to if youre not paying attention. A rubber gasket would have been helpful to prevent the issue, ergo docking it one star.

What looks like simply dimpled glass actually has black bits of what looks like imbedded in the glass. So while the color of the glass technically is clear, its actually more like speckled. Hard to see in online photos.

We were able to lightly sand off the brass on the fixture (they are nickle underneath) and look fantastic over my island.

I will be using 3 of these over a very large island. They are bigger than your standard pendant light and thus the perfect size. I will be repainting the brass look to a satin nickel to match the current room hardware. I do wish they offered this is different hardware colors. Thus the loss of a star.
