This is a beautiful lamp with very very thin strips of wood that allow light to go through the panels and the slices of space between them. The site said it used regular 60 W (for incandescent bulb or max 28W for FCL or LED bulb), but the fixture says it should only have a 23 W compact florescent to avoid fire! We only had a 25 W incandescent bulb on hand that we used and it works, but is very low light and doesnt dim, so we are going to try a 60 watt bulb. Id suggest to the manufacturer that they make the bulb recommendations consistent between the website and the lamp itself. It makes me a bit nervous to put in a bulb over what is recommended on the lamp itself, particularly since it is wood. I would have given it a higher rating if this was clear, since I love the look of the lamp itself.

We put this in our sons "surfer" bedroom, its perfect. Delivered as advertised in a timely fashion and at a good price.

I wish I had a little more light. I used a 60 Watt bulb. Maybe I will switch to 100. But I really love the look. My floors and light are the same...really cute
