Assembly needed and was straight-forward. Stain finish is nice but not consistent on all parts. Comfortable with and without cushions. Folding for storage big space saver.

Wow! I would really like to think my husband and I are reasonably good at following directions....but these assembly instructions were bad! Took us 5x to figure out the second step! . BUT once we figured it out (3 hours) we put the second chair together in 20 minutes! Don’t judge...we do have skills....just not ones to do this! Like the end product though! So if you have a reasonably stable marriage go for it...if not, better go buy some already put together!
