We love this product.... what a great idea. Relocating an umbrella now is so much easier and the open areas can be used for storage of ice,container drinks or decorative plants when entertaining.

Love this base for our large umbrella. It is sturdy, stable, and looks great. The wheels are an added benefit!

These planter / umbrella stands are pretty clever - first off they do have drainage holes in them. I am not sure they are stainless steel since they were painted - but to hedge my bet - i sparked the inside with automotive under coating to further prevent rust. Filled the bottom with 6" of gravel - they potting soil and plants - they have to weigh over 100 lbs - no issues holding up an 11 diameter umbrella.
