I purchased this umbrella base for my new umbrella, I love the look, quality material, yesterday was very windy in the city and base was holding to umbrella with no problem. I live in the city, very lucky to have a very large terrace-garden. Lets see how it works in the winter months of Colorado.

This is the worst stand i have ever seen. The collar that holds the umbrella is cheap plastic that wont screw in tight to the base so the slightest wind it wobbles all around. This wont last long in any wind! maybe the other reviews got a better product!

The first delivery was severely chipped, probably during shipping. We contacted Houzz and sent a picture. They immediately sent a replacement. We are very happy with the umbrella base. We wanted one that had a longer insert for the umbrella because we live in a high wind area. This base comes with two. We are using the 18 inch one and it works very well to secure the umbrella.

Stand was suprior to original stand that had rusted out.
