This rug pad did help our thinner rug look and feel more substantial; however, the pad was not cut exactly to size, so we had to trim it ourselves. I suppose this could be a pro or a con. It does allow you to get the exact size you want, but you have to have the tools to cut it since it is fairly thick.

Ordered two runners and the felt/rubber pad. Gives just enough padding for hallway & kitchen runners while holding the rug in place
