The disk allows you to use cookware that is not normally rated for induction use, resulting in huge cost savings and versatility. This induction cooktop is great for home use to cook up a quick, but tasty meal for a modern family. Because induction cooking uses electromagnetic force, the cookware you use must be magnetic. For example, cast iron, carbon steel, and 18/0 stainless steel will work while aluminum, copper, and other grades of stainless steel will not without the included interface adapter disk. Disk is compatible with more cookware including glass, copper, aluminum, and non-magnetic stainless steel.
