The ice is ready when I need it, The only thing you need to worry about is putting the water in when it runs out. It shuts down automatically when its full of ice. I put the ice in a ziplock bag and into the freezer. Awesome machine works as advertised. Clear ice on demand, only thing bad is the size of the ice cubes could be larger in my opinion.
