"About Faber Range Hoods Faber, Spa is located in Fabriano, Italy and has been producing high quality range hoods since 1955. Professor Abramo Galassi invented the first Faber vent hood in a small laboratory in Italy and now over 50 years later they are a world leader in ventilation. Faber Design The design of Faber range hoods uses the principle coined by the famous American architect Louis Henry Sullivan that, ""form follows function"". Design is important, but if a range hood does not work properly or provide adequate ventilation for your kitchen, then their customers would not be satisfied. Faber designs their high quality vent hood appliances knowing that a strong aesthetic impact can be made on the kitchen with ventilation. They know design is important in your decision process, so there are a large number of designs available to choose from depending on your taste. From stainless steel fashion forward vents and contemporary to professional / traditional and classic. SkyLift Ceiling Hood The SkyLift is one of Faber’s most innovative ceiling design cooker hoods. Using Faber’s unique “up&down” cooker hood technology, the SkyLift has the ability to move closer towards the hob when needed. A remote control then brings the body of the extractor back up into the ceiling area when cooking is finished, maximising available free space in the cooking area. White glass and LED light strips adorn the base of the SkyLift, with a stainless steel body nestled into the ceiling cavity. The SkyLift is a contemporary ceiling design cooker hood, developed with open plan living and island kitchens in mind. Please note: The SkyLift is only available in recirculating mode – the SkyLift is not able to be ducted out. Dishwasher safe charcoal filters come as standard with the SkyLift. Features: The filter saturation alarm warns you when it is time to clean the anti-grease filter or replace the charcoal filter. The Intensive Speed function activates maximum extraction for 6 minutes to meet special cooking needs and clean odours quickly. The LED hood light lights the hob area below with only 3 Watts of energy consumption. The perimeter extraction panel reduces the perceived sound by 25% (which is equal to a reduction of 3dB). This method of extraction guarantees optimised effectiveness by exploiting the principle of the Venturi effect: air accelerates as it passes through the constricted extraction space of the panel and decreases immediately inside the hood and is then easily expelled eithout the need for any particular pressure levels. The remote control will activate the different functions of the hood. F-Light hoods have an Up & Down motion. Operated by a remote control, the hood gently lowers onto the hob increasing it's efficiency. The hood is linked to the hob due to controls integrated into Faber hobs."
