Getting all the parts put together was difficult because none of the parts screwed tight easily. We were very careful not to touch the filter with our hands and changed all the tubes. At any rate, when we first turned it on we noticed a flow of dark water coming through. We were surprised. The problem came a few hours later, when a horrible odor started to take over the sink area and then the kitchen. We read online that this is probably caused by bacteria. I guess is that the filters were not clean or had been tampered with. We did notice they were out of the plastic. At any rate, I am now hoping to get a refund from these guys.

I purchased this unit to replace a similar unit I had used for about 10 years. The Good; This unit is very sleek and appears to be very well constructed with quality parts. The Bad; it was put together very poorly as the upper units did not fit into their holders and parts had to be removed and relocated. The instructions were poor at best and had I not previously owned a similar unit I would have had a difficult time hooking it up correctly. The Ugly; as I indicated earlier it is a great looking unit, and the water tastes great, Time should tell if it will serve me for 10 years. Shipping and packaging were excellent. Overall I would have given the unit a five star rating but I am afraid most buyers would have been frustrated and given up considering the problems I experienced.
