The UC-50-85 works beneath any home or office sink to filter up to 15,000 gallon of cold water on demand! The Using a combination of patented trace minerals KDF-85 (Copper-Zinc) which has been tested to NSF standard 42 and 61, catalytic acid washed coconut shell carbon, zeolite & micro sediment membranes. This system will remove and/or reduce chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals, herbicides, pesticides, many types of pharmaceuticals, sediment, algae, molds, scale, bad taste, odors, and other undesirable contaminants that may effect the quality of your water supply. And unlike carbon only filters, bacteria can't grow inside the bacteriostatic CuZn filters. Replace the UC-50-85 every 15,000 gallons or 2 years, whichever comes first. Don't know if you need to select a chloramine model? Chlorine is and has been the standard sanitizer that all municipal water treatment systems add to tap water since the 1920s. Recently however, some treatment centers have started adding chloramines to tap water.
