I was quite thrilled to receive these coasters; they arrived in a timely fashion and were so charming out of the box. Unfortunately, my pleasure evaporated with use. If you buy this type of porous, stone coaster, do not get white. If you spill a little tea, or coffee, or ANYTHING, the stain is with you forever. The coasters look very nasty and unappealing now. I have others that are brightly colored and heavily patterned, and they have managed to age much better. Bottom line: If you never spill, go for these; otherwise, I suggest you avoid them.
