There was a spot where the thru hole was supposed to be on the heavy base, but there was no actual thru hole. You need to install the threaded curved pole through the base. I had to create the thru hole myself using a sharp object. The rose gold cover that goes over the base is really flimsy and bends easily. I wouldnt buy this again.

This lamp is everything I hoped for and more. It was very easy to assemble and set up. Additionally, the lamp shipped out almost right away and I had it within a week of ordering it. The top of the lamp, with the bulb, is adjustable so you can move the bowl to direct the light. The color of the lamp is exactly as portrayed in the photo, and goes great with my room. I love the look of this lamp and the price is worth it.
