The chair is easy to assemble, assuming you have a battery powered driver and the proper hex drive. It would have been tedious using the included Allen wrench. All the pieces fit together without any modifications. I dont know if the hardware is stainless steel, which it should be. The quality and finish of the oak wood is good, though a couple of knots had small areas filled with wood dough. The chair is comfortable to sit in, more so than an old style Airondack chair. The construction, i.e., the wood thickness, is on the light side (the chair is rated for 250 lb maximum), but reasonable given the cost. This makes the chair easier to move, but unlikely that it will be handed down to the next generation.
